Return & Refund Policy

This policy covers payments made through chirbireyriverfest.com for Chirbirey River Fest, organised by the Sikkim Anglers’ Association.

1. How payment works

Payment for a pass is made to the Sikkim Anglers’ Association by UPI or by bank transfer. The Association’s payment QR and account details are shown as soon as you register and are emailed to you with your order reference. Your registration is confirmed only once payment has been received and the transaction reference (UTR) you provide has been verified. Card and net banking payment is being added.

If you have registered but not yet paid, there is nothing to refund. You can cancel simply by writing to us, and no charge applies.

Stall and volunteer registrations carry no charge and so no refund arises.

2. Cancelling a paid pass

Pass payments are refundable on a sliding scale. The earlier you cancel, the more comes back; in the final hours before the festival, nothing does. The festival opens on 25 September 2026, and the slabs run on days before that date:

Transfers: instead of cancelling, your pass can be transferred to another named person at no charge, by writing to us before 23 September.

3. How refunds are processed

To request a refund, write to us at the email below with your name, phone number and the transaction reference (UTR) of your payment.

Approved refunds are returned to the same account the payment came from, normally within 7 to 10 working days of approval. Where payment was made by UPI or bank transfer, the refund is made by bank transfer to that account. Where a payment gateway has been used, the refund is returned through the gateway to the original payment method.
